Peter Kamminga has much to offer the academic community worldwide. Dr. Kamminga has co-authored peer-reviewed articles on dispute resolution with around 100 people in various countries. He lectures on negotiation, mediation and conflict and interest resolution in Amsterdam and throughout Europe and Asia where he was invited by, among others, local bar associations, foreign ministries, universities, organizations for trade and industry and chambers of commerce.
While studying dispute resolution Peter Kamminga researched cross-cultural negotiations and mediation issues, resulting in a PhD dissertation entitled ‘The Effect of Cultured Related Factors on Bargaining, Negotiation and Mediation’. He also conducted a year of research on transatlantic negotiations. In addition, he has conducted a lot of research on practice and procedure issues, in particular regarding cross-border communication.
Peter Kamminga is fluent in German, Italian, English and Dutch. While growing up he also learned French, Spanish and Indonesian. In addition, he has done research into and published about a number of international dispute resolution procedures, such as: international court litigation, alternative forms of dispute resolution (ADR), lawsuits before EU and WTO courts, international investment treaty disputes and international procedure rules (UNCITRAL, disclosing expert witnesses).
